Washington Maritime Blue’s Maritime Blue Innovation Accelerator is a four-month, mentor-driven program supporting early-stage maritime startups committed to both economic growth and environmental sustainability. Operated by the state, the accelerator helps founders scale by providing access to a global network of ocean-industry leaders, advisors, and mentors.
Since its launch in 2018, the program has graduated more than 30 startups, which have collectively raised over $450 million and created more than 500 jobs. It is open to early-stage North American startups innovating within the maritime sector, and encourages founders from all backgrounds and communities to apply.
Each cohort is customized to the needs of its participants, with programming that may include financial modeling, fundraising support, go-to-market strategy, hiring, and business development. The accelerator equips marine-focused startups with the expertise, connections, and momentum needed to grow responsibly and successfully.
